For downtown and/or close to beach or harbor I’m unsure. There are always little gems u luck out with in any city. I have friends living in more suburban areas like Poway, and they do fine. I think they make collectively closer to 150-200k though.
All that to say I’m sure you can find something in that range. Maybe just don’t expect to be in the hustle and bustle, or keeping a surfboard in the office lol.
I’m from San Diego, grew up there, I don’t have actual figures (moved away once I entered college) but it’s definitely pricey. I would say more than LA but less than San Francisco. But everything depends on neighborhoods.
Since downtown lines the water you’re paying for nice water views/proximity a lot of the time

That’s helpful, thank you!
Def cheaper than LA but not a lot of great jobs in the biz. A lot of regional shops but good work pops up every once in a while
San Diego is definitely cheaper than LA. You’ll be fine on $150-200k, if you can find a job. That’s the hard part. But there’s lots of great areas besides the beach towns and downtown that are centrally located and more affordable like, north park, clairemont, bay ho and mission valley.
