I think this is unfortunately not too uncommon… in some ways the organization you work for failed by promoting someone like this. If you do still like the organization I’d ask to switch teams… if the culture of the organization is more broadly like this, it might be time to cut ties. It is an organizations job to utilize our characteristics and bring out the value in us. Being a woman and a millennial can easily be used as a benefit to the company if harnessed properly. A good company and manager will bring out that value
