Nobody will pay you 250 K that allows you to be bored. Even 150 k is a stretch unless you are a data center engineer
No one said you had to communicate that you're bored 😂
Everyone has a degree of crap they will put up with for a salary they can live with. Generally people get just enough money to not leave a company cause they get comfortable and it just works for their current lifestyle. They may complain about it but won’t put the effort into finding something new, which is also why the job is boring to them they are complacent. Also, 150k salary can be very different in a HCOL area vs a LCOL area.
I’m in corp strategy making 290 and for the past 6 months I’ve been acting as a glorified program manager for a large internal project. I’m bored to death but wouldn’t dream of moving. I’d probably do this for 225 but below I’d start to think I could move and work harder for more money.
I’m a physician, I get paid 500k for my job and it’s mind numbingly boring but it’s high paying and stable.
How do you like being full time pharma, just seemed insanely political and beurocratic day to day, though the macro problems are fun. I liked that clinical gives me a high stable salary but it’s boring. I do freelance consulting engagements on the side to keep the intellectual stimulation up
Just remember there's people doing 40k jobs who will always be bored
I guess for me 80k as it’s now…
But that’s because outside of work is then better
Lol currently making 280k and have barely done anything in the last 18 months.
Doing what?
