How often do you work out each week? I’ve been hitting it about 3-4 times lately, and honestly, it’s been such a lifesaver for dealing with work stress. There’s something about getting moving that just clears my head. Does working out help you relax too? Curious to hear what kind of workouts or activities you’re into and if you’ve noticed it makes a difference.

Working out is my go-to for coping with basically everything. I'm happily single and childfree which means finding the time isn't an issue. I go hiking or cycling whenever I can and get at least 3 gym workouts in each week.

uplifting

That sounds amazing! It does make such a difference for my stress levels too, especially after a long workday. I’m still figuring out my routine, but I totally get how it becomes your go-to.

I've been on a 5 days a week kick for a few months now. I feel like a whole new person. I've lost weight and have SO much more energy now. Probably because I'm physically drained by the end of the day and am able to get to bed at a reasonable hour, instead of staying up until 1 or 2 AM regularly.

That’s awesome! Working out 5 days a week is seriously impressive. I love how it not only helps with weight and energy but also resets your whole sleep routine which is a game-changer!

I’m at 0 times a week right now. Did walk a lot to see fireworks last weekend if that counts? I used to have a good schedule, would stop at least twice a week at the gym, and then good hike or walk on the weekends. Definitely miss it, but once I’m out of the habit, hard to get back in it.

Totally relatable! Sometimes just a good walk, like chasing fireworks, is enough to remind us how good moving feels. Getting back into the groove is tough, but maybe starting small, like a quick walk or easy hike?

I make it a point to get a lot of walking in, I usually do two miles a day at minimum. I agree that moving around is very helpful. And just having the time to myself is great, I can listen to whatever I want or just spend the time thinking. If I can't get my walk in I feel sedentary and out of sorts.

Walking two miles a day sounds like the perfect way to clear your head and recharge! I typically just turn on my favorite podcast while I’m walking outside or at the gym. There’s something really special about having that time to yourself, whether it’s zoning out to music or just letting your mind wander.

I lift weights (a combination of Olympic weightlifting and bodybuilding style training) 3 or 4 days a week and walk around 4 miles every day (accumulated throughout the day, not usually all at once cause ain’t nobody got time for that). Both are non-negotiable. I do my lifting at the crack of dawn before work so I can’t convince myself I don’t have time after work, and the walking gets done on breaks and during lunch. This routine is the only reason I am still employed. The lifting in the morning lets me get all the aggression out before I have to be nice to people all day, and the walks interspersed throughout the day keep me from getting overstimulated. And this way I still have time when I get home in the evening to unplug with a book or a tv show, or whatever else I want to do. I don’t have kids though and I know that makes all this way easier. And I also have a husband who is all for me doing whatever I want whenever I want, which also makes it easier.

That’s such a solid routine! Getting your lifting done early is genius, clears your head and sets the tone for the day. I love how you break up your walks throughout the day too; sounds like the perfect way to stay balanced and avoid burnout,

Five days a week. Then two days a week I fast on my rest days. Both help with my mental health and stress.

That’s awesome! Combining a solid workout routine with fasting sounds like a powerful way to support both your body and mind.

Probably 3-4 times for me as well! I make sure I go on walks daily no matter the weather too as just getting outside helps my mental state so much!

Getting outside every day does wonders for the mind, rain or shine. Those walks work as little mental resets that help keep us grounded no matter what’s going on.

6 days a week currently. In the past it's been 5 days, or even 7 days a week. I work out before work- it keeps me sane! Then I run 5-10k once or twice a week after work as well, and do a fitness class once a week so 7-9 workout sessions a week. I also walk about 3 miles home from work every day. I'm addicted to the endorphins! I can't say I always love it during the workout or run, but I love the feeling after. Unfortunately there's not much time left esp. during the week as I don't get out of week early (also why I'm religious about working out before work)

Wow, that’s impressive dedication! I love how you’ve built such a solid routine around your schedule. Working out before work sounds like a great way to start the day and I totally get that love-hate relationship with the workout itself, but those endorphins afterward make it all worth it!

7x per week. It’s literally my therapy.

I love that! 7 days a week and treating workouts as therapy sounds like the perfect mindset.
