How on earth do I career change from an employment coach? I'm fed up of employability and have 5 years in the industry.

Start building an exit plan. Take a couple of weeks to pick what you’ll pivot into, start rewriting your resume, and find transferable skills. Then start applying, networking, and upskilling if needed. Do you have an idea what you’d like to do? HR and people talent might be a good fit with your skills.

Honestly, I would try working with a recruiter. Sometimes they can help you finesse your resume so that the experience you have matches other job descriptions. I've been working with a recruiter, and she has been very helpful.

Okay so I’m a newly licensed attorney in a very conservative part of TX. I just got my first job offer and I was worried at first thinking that I was in “Trump” territory, but I tested the waters in my interview and spoke about police injustices and how prosecutor’s job is not only to protect victims, but also defendants from police injustices. I have to let them know by tomorrow, but thoughts on if this is a good career move for someone who wants to work in transactional work-RE or Bankruptcy?

Does anyone have the 2020 SHRM books for sale or to borrow? My job won’t contribute towards my certification. I’ve already paid for my test. I have the books from 2015 but I’d like to study from the 2020. I tried finding them online to purchase but sellers of affordable books aren’t responding.
