VP roles in Pharma are true ‘up or out’ positions—either you’re climbing the ladder or you’re being shown the door.
But in banking? Being a VP is like a participation trophy—practically everyone and their mother has the title. It’s less about actual leadership and more about having the right business card to pass around.

At my company, and I think pharma in general, VP is the highest title under the CEO. So probably pretty stressful. It’s not something someone without direct industry experience would be qualified for.

It depends for what area. This is a very broad question that needs to be more specific for a tailored response

For pharma, VP is around $500-800K roughly (more heavily weighted to stock)

I'm holding an offer from MakeMyTrip and another offer from OlaElectric. Ninjacart is willing to make me an offer. But they're saying that they'd discuss the offer only after the other company that I'm interviewing with has come up with an offer first. There's been a delay from HRs of the companies in a similar way. How do I urge them to send me the offer letter without sounding pushy? I had reached out to some of the HRs myself. Would that be too awkward if I accept & back out their offer?

Working in a start-up and love having an impact on the product. Things have been too chaotic tho. Thinking of recruiting for a big tech company but not sure if it's for me- anyone willing to chat?

How much do tech recruiters make? You know, the ones that harass you with copy/pasted messages through email and LinkedIn.

Do they make salary or is it based on successful hires?

Heading into 2023, here are some phrases I'm eliminating:

1. "No worries."
2. "No problem."
3. "Sorry to bother you."
4. "Does this make sense?"
5. "Sorry, I'll fix that right now."

Here's what I'm replacing them with: ⤵
1. My pleasure.
2. Of course, happy to help.
3. When you have a minute, can I get your opinion on ____?
4. Does this help you clarify things?
5. Thank you for catching that!

Words are powerful.

Use it wisely.

Never sell yourself short when you know you have good intentions
