Huntington Bank employees: Anyone care to share how you’ve faired with compensation increases over the past 3 years? I began as an AVP and was promoted to VP in the recent past. Despite this, my total comp has increased by less than 5% over the last 3 years (1.6% per year on average). My 2025 merit increase (just announced) was only 1.75%. No comp adjustment at promotion. Obviously good performance reviews (hence the promotion), 3.25+ on each performance eval. Thoughts?

The only thing i needed to read was “no comp adjustment at promotion” major red flag, time to dust off the resume and get yourself a 15-20%+ bump somewhere else

like

I consistently have gotten 3-3.5% every year. With scores ranging from 3.5-4.3/5. No comp at promo is a resume generating event. You should actively start looking. Titles don’t matter IMO.

You need to look externally. This applies to many financial institutions. Your biggest bump usually comes at hiring which means if you leave HNB on good terms you can always come back.

Hi everyone, I'm new to Canada and want to start my career here in the Financial and Banking industry. I have passed the CFA level 2 exam and was wondering if I have to complete the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) as most of the job postings here mention about it. I saw that if someone passes at least the CFA level 1 exam then the requirement of CSC is exempted. Can anyone enlighten me about this? As the CSC exam costs above 1000 CAD, I wanted to be sure if I need it before investing behind it.
