I am about to receive an offer from a company. The HR wants me to join within 60 days. Deloitte notice period is 90 days. They are ready to buy out one month of notice period. With whom can I have this conversation? Can I get an early release in this case?

What is the drug culture like at your office? I assume people don’t openly talk about what they do in their free time if illicit, but they may do so quietly or you can otherwise tell.
Do you get the impression many people do them? If so, soft drugs (ex - weed)? Hard drugs? Non-prescribed study drugs? Frequency? At work-sponsored social functions? To an extent that it’s noticeable/problematic?

My mother is going to get retired from her government job next week and will recieve her one time payout of close to 90 lakhs by the end of the month
The amount is non taxable but any profit earned from the amount will be taxable. Where should the amount be invested?(next 8-10 year horizon)
1. Buying a 3 bhk flat for around 95 lakhs in Sec 31 Gurgaon.
2. Put all the money in FD and live off of interest.
3. She is not very ecstatic about investing in stocks.
