I am attempting to find an office desk job due to physical limitations precluding me from doing manual labor, etc.
I have computer skills but I'm not advanced level.
I travel to and from by bus or Lyft (when I can afford it).
So 2 of my biggest struggles finding work are location and job tasks. What I mean by job tasks is employers who think Receptionists and Administrative Assistants have Accounting degrees.
Why do they keep putting accounting in the job tasks? And not raise the wages for it?

So I was offered a role in Strategy Consulting in after 2 years in Risk Consulting however, after 2 years I’ve only worked on Internal audit engagements few ad hocs such as updating risk register and the delegation of authority matrix.

Honestly speaking I am doing good and I am up for promotion in October however I am not fully enjoying my time but I fear that the move would not be a good and I can’t hit the ground running which scares me.

We flew back from Ireland today on Delta. I went from $70k to $100k a little over a year ago. I'm currently on £60k at a start up. Just got offered a job at a games company with a salary of £50k + 15% bonus 😖 I immediately spoke to them and told them that is way below my current salary and they raised to £56k + 15% bonus which would put me on £64.4k total comp. I've said I'll think about it and hope they raise the offer again.
Should I not consider this at all if they don't at least match my base? I have been aiming for £70k-£80k when looking at new jobs
