I have interview scheduled and completed from Commonwealth Bank Bangalore location. All technical rounds cleared.
When I called HR i got a surprise answer..
They mentioned the position which I have intervied is different than the salary rem ranges. And my current salary is higher than position what they have got and asked for approval for rem ranges changes..
Is any one faced this? Ideally HR should know expectation and allocation before scheduling intervjew..

I’d ask straight up if there’s flexibility to be able to pick your kid up every day. No sense in guessing about what’s essentially your most important question.
Are they remote/hybrid? How have they shifted from pre-pandemic to now? What was the response from c-suite during the height of pandemic/WFH, and what is their tone now (are there rumors of RTO?)
Does everyone on the team work in a commuting distance to the office such that there is an expectation of being in the office all day every day?
Is there anyone (in your direct chain) that has an expectation of “face time” for rapport building!
How much autonomy do you have over your daily meeting load? Will you have freedom to determine (within reason) which meetings require your attendance? In person? Via phone/video?
Try asking what an average day is like - I asked this in my interviews to get a sense of workload / variety of work but often people would immediately go into discussing work life balance / the hours they worked.
Of course, after you get an offer, you could always ask to speak with more people and then ask more explicitly about hours.
