I have decorated my office heavily and lateraled 6 months later. While it may look like someone is staying, that’s definitely not a guarantee. Only decorate your office if it makes you happier to be in that space.
Lol as someone who doesnt even hang his degrees or licenses on his walls, i can assure you its a sign you have 0 intention on staying.....cause thats my excuse for not hanging crap up.
Firm paying for me to buy additional copies of my 4 licenses which will easily cost ~ $1k in frames and the license itself? No? Ok so dont tell me to decorate. Thanks in advance.
I’ve been practicing for 22 years and have never even had my degree/license framed. Until I became equity at a firm I never decorated. Now I have sports memorabilia but still no degree
I wouldn't stress about decorating your office at all. I have just a few photos on my desk but nothing too crazy, it's really just dependent on the person and it says nothing about how long you want to stay. I have colleagues who have been there much longer than me and their office still looks the same as their first day.
