I am getting LinkedIn messages inviting me to various conferences (which I never heard of). The speakers are from top pharma or at least some of them are. I never respond because people who reach out usually have sus profiles or even if they are legit the conferences are too far from my home. I wanted to check if this is valid and I am losing a big networking opportunity or they just need someone to fill in the seats?

Applied for a position in Johnson and Johnson Canada. Reached the final round 3 weeks back. After not getting any updates I emailed the HR a couple of weeks back. They responded back telling me that they’ll have an update for me the next week. Again I emailed them on Thursday asking if they have anything for me before the long weekend ( Good Friday & Easter). I am project manager in clinical research industry (CRO). After earning PhD, I gave up my science dream to take a more stable job. After slowly climbing the ladders, I feel like I finally got a seat at the table. Half the days I like the hustle, but now I miss being creative.
