I am hearing buzz in the office that from the upcoming financial year starting September, employees need to work only out of the base location even if your client allows remote work. So, my hometown is in Jharkhand and I work out of the Mindspace Airoli office. Because my client allows remote work, I can stay extended periods in my hometown and work. How true is the update in the policy? How are they going to track where we are?

If you are fresher, go for a WF Office setup. You will learn things beyond your work. In the initial phase of of your career, one needs to focus more on learning than on comfort. The interactions at office, meeting with collegues, conversations at the cafeteria, sense of responsibilty, the need to walk up on time to reach office etc will shape you for better.

Once you have a work experience of few year then any setup is fine. Go for WFH.

I currently work for an agency based in DC and my boss is forcing us to come back into the office fulltime after we’ve been remote for nearly two years. Majority of my coworkers have already left for the private sector but I’d like to remain in the public.

Recruitment reached out soon after my last meet-and-greet interview (about 6 to 7 people total) to tell me the team thinks I would be best suited for an Associate Director role with a fast follow of a Director promotion.

Recruitment can’t tell me what feedback is creating this gap but also won’t stop mentioning the positive praise and feedback the team had for me.
