It is completely okay to ask what is the salary range for this role. Never give them yours first. Let them tell you.
This is completely dependent on yr situation whether u are desperate or have flexibility in yr job search…do yr research on glassdoor indeed and look into expected salary range to be prepared

Ask if you like, or wait until you’re further into the process to negotiate. I love a good negotiation.
Are you in a pay transparency state? That’s another way to bring up comp early on. Otherwise I’ve had luck with negotiating after they decide you’re the person they want, unless expectations are wildly different.
I’d wait until you have a virtual or in person interview rather than right off the hop. If you ask too early it depends how the recruiter takes that, but I find it can rule you out.
I usually wait - either until the end of the first interview (if it’s not brought up earlier) or until the offer - but again, I love negotiating 😄
totally okay to ask!
One piece of advice, don’t offer a price first. Do your homework know what you are worth, and what you’ll be comfortable with, research salaries. Then if you can interview in more than one place even better, gives you more leverage and you become desirable and increases your negotiating power and options. In my experience, no range or not taking about range can be actually a good thing, could mean they are flexible, looking for the right fit and experience. Worse, when they say here is our range, but we offer typically in the middle. That is when you run!
