I’m so sorry for your loss. I think you would really find a lot of support and answers with a Reproductive Endocrinologist. I know after we struggled for a year, we finally found some hope with an RE. We have now been seeing one for over a year and are going through IVF. We still aren’t pregnant but at least we have a plan and know a ton more than we did before seeing an RE.
Early miscarriages are very common if that is any consolation, it absolutely does not mean that you won’t be successful next time. I had 2 chemical pregnancies, I think that’s around week 4-5 but before any type of ultrasound and those were frustrating. As a point of hope, I got pregnant (and am 16 weeks now) on the same cycle as my HSG test as part of the RE initial work up. I read the test makes it 40-60% more likely to get pregnant for the next few cycles so if that’s not already on your test plan ask about it!
Yep exactly. A diagnostic with therapeutic benefits vs an actual fertility procedure. It was just recommended to me with the blood work and semen analysis so went with it. I also read It Starts with the Egg, got more serious about ovulation tracking, and started up some supplements a few months before so figure every piece helped.
I’m sorry for your loss. My husband and I tried for about 6 months before getting pregnant and having a missed miscarriage at 8 weeks. It took about 8 months of trying after that loss to get pregnant again and I am now entering my third trimester. I second the advice from the other commenters about seeing a RE. Some can take a while to get in to see so it’s good to get a general consult booked.

I am so sorry for your loss, it sounds like you are taking the proactive steps into seeking professional expertise. Starting the process helped me and my husband immensely, (also healthy 30 yr olds, diagnosed as unexplained infertility).
Will share a previous thread with advice but I encourage you to take your journey into your own hands from the start, i.e. deciding if you would want to try IUI before IVF, have the opportunity to transfer multiple embryos, be an advocate for understanding timelines, etc.
Best of luck in your journey!

Early miscarriages like that are super super common. I know they are still hard. If it’s been 11 months though I’d consult an RE.
Sorry about your loss, we are in same boat, I and my husband are 30 and 32 yrs old, and I got early miscarriage at 5th week back in this July and been trying hard after that, but no luck. So reached out to RE early this month, first consultation is done , gave blood work and semen analysis last weekend. Waiting for test results and will book follow up appointment with RE. I can understand the situation , hoping everything goes well.
That’s really similar to where we’re at! Our miscarriage was early sep. now we have an RE appointment next week and 1/2 tests done (mine delayed as I’ve been sick)
