How to ask them to consider wfh to me?
Ask hr to mention the same like WFH in otter letter. There are recent cases where verbal promises were broken lately
Unless you get it written in offer letter, you can't depend on it.
Problem is even if some company says work from home, they will likely squeeze in the line -"as per policy, company may ask you to", the same happens with work location - companies used to give desired location, but they always retain right to ask employees to shift - and they try to enforce it only when you have to go to a different project and no project in base location etc. Same could happen even if given in writing.
Going forward , it will be hybrid model . No one is going to gìve you permanent wfh.
