I am trying to get back into early intervention education. I was asked to leave because of my attendance. I had a lot going on in my personal life(I.e my brother‘s worsening substance abuse problems and trying to fix him by going to NAAMs 3 times didn’t work as he checked himself out after two days and to the point that now he’s had a stroke due to his addictio) I was too embarrassed to explain my situation and just took unpaid leave or MCs. Should I have been more open to my employers ?
