I began my career working in Nuclear Power, designing tooling/equipment for refueling outages.

I currently work in defense, designing directed energy weapons systems. This is a field that has the possibility of growing exponentially over the next 20 years.

I might have an opportunity to go back into nuclear with my original employer's biggest competitor for substantially better pay/benefits + 100% remote. Would have to work in the field 2-3 months/year.

Any thoughts/recommendations?

Depends on if you have a family or not. If you love the work you do and still single, then that looks like a good gig. It will be very hard if you have children though. It also depends on how long the 2-3 months are. If it is just 1-2 weeks every month, it might make your relationship stronger. However, being completely gone for a month will be difficult for any couple/family

I was interviewed for a perticular customer, which went well and also received an offer. Few days before of my joining date, i came to know that the technology stack from customer got changed and customer had no requirement for which i was hired. However parent company still hired me and now they're in process of allocating me in some other clients. Sometimes i feel insecure about this situation. How to cope up with such cases?

I will possibly be getting a machinist role through some contacts, and I have no experience in the field and I’m wondering what I could expect to make, when I look up average salaries for a machinist position I see around 65k but that seems too good for my age and experience so I’m wondering what some others in the trade on here are making
