As a younger employee I'm looking for the best worklife balance and pay that matches my value. I don't want to sacrifice living my life just to get the pay I deserve.

Completely with you on that. Equal work should mean equal pay—age or experience shouldn’t justify underpayment if the expectations are the same. It’s frustrating, and I hope more of us keep speaking up about it.

I hope that this next generation of workers is able to transform things. I'm a millennial and I feel like our gen really didn't have what it took to stand up to power. But Gen Z almost has less to lose than we did, so I hope they really turn things around

Millennials definitely tried to play by the rules, but Gen Z seems more willing to challenge them. Hoping they keep pushing for better too.

Hiring managers / recruiters always say the same thing when they do give feedback - that they’re looking for someone that has experience in the same role. What’s the best way to break in? It’s not like there are business development classes like there are coding classes where I can learn the job.

I was thinking of taking a lower position at some company and working myself up maybe BI to DA. I would like to work as a dev but a lot of the small companies are offering salaries significantly under 100 for jr dev roles. Any thoughts?
