Not just creatives^
My theory is that things are changing and the companies and the job seekers have not yet adapted their processes. Job seekers see the results quicker - what works, what doesn’t- and adapt to an extent. For companies, it will take a while to figure that out - wrong or inefficient hiring practices are slower to manifest themselves.

You’re right. When processes change, it takes time to learn that from the outside. Creatives, might have more of a challenging time due to AI. but I still see people make their own path in this crazy time.

It’s a lot of factors, the economy is really bad right now, AI is a thing, and companies want to save money, where they can. It cost a lot of money, to hire someone. Some companies, want to pick the best person for the role. In times like these, it’s wise to have more than one stream of income. We’re in a new age of looking for work and work now. The game has definitely changed.
