I feel frustrated with my company’s bonus structure and increment pattern. We still haven’t received any bonus, and the increment is expected only in June. From my experience, such delays make me question whether staying is worth it or if I should explore new opportunities. How would you handle this situation if you were in my place?

I'd be angling to leave. I can ignore a one-off issue, but this sounds like a systemic problem. There's nothing stopping them from kicking the can further down the road when June rolls around.

Yeah i also have same feeling thanks for your advise

I wouldn’t be working in a place where comp isn’t very transparent. Our plan changes year to year, but once it’s announced it is very clear what the grids look like. I understand every B/D and RIA can pay differently, but the pay should be clear and dependable.

Well it’s personal preference whether you can put up with that or not. Yea our grids can change yearly, but we have a pretty good idea where we stand and generally our pay structure doesn’t change dramatically. No doubt that could change in the future but so far that’s what I’ve experienced over 17 years with the company.

If you're working someplace where you're not getting straight answers about compensation then something is wrong. Delays could just be a symptom of bad management, but it could also indicate underlying problems. It would be a good idea to start planning an exit.

Thanks for your advise

Has there been any communication about it from management? If not, then I’d say it’s a red flag

Hopefully not

During interview I was speaking to the hiring manager. Felt interview was going well. He seemed impressed by my answers, excited by my skills, and even gave me a tour of the office. At the end, he asked about my home life. When I spoke of my 3 young kiddos, the manager got a little taken back and replied Oh you have children? I said yes ages 3, 5, and 7. He then proceeded to ask me about daycare arrangements and if I can be reliable. Red flag as his demeanor changed and made me feel unworthy.

Getting over heartbreak and having a full time job is torture lol. My boyfriend and I just broke up after almost a year of being together. It was such a beautiful relationship but ultimately he just didn’t love me. I love him so much. My mind knows that I deserve reciprocal love and I’m worthy, but I feel physically ill. My body hurts, my stomach is in knots, my head hurts. How is it that I have to mend a broken heart but also meet my billable hours lmao

Curious what’s a fair salary in MA? Was just told that there is likely not going to be a chance for a raise during my upcoming performance review due to my salary already being “above average for the industry” based on my employer’s questionable research. I’ve been with the company 8.5 years & am the only one in my role, which they can’t operate without. I execute tasks from two investment advisors and two financial planners - they make the decisions of what should happen & I make it happen.

I am a registered sales assistant which means I have my series 7. I also have the 63 and my Life & Health license. I was a financial advisor but the role is commission only so I decided to take a role as an assistant for some time to learn etc. I really like my role, but I only make 32k a year and after taxes I only take home about 25k. I have a gut feeling that I’m not being paid market value but it’s tough to find comparable salaries. Do you think $15.38/hr is a fair wage in this case?

User experience mgr salary? I support six product teams and eight reports. 20+ years experience

I have an offer and want to negotiate

1. London base salary but I have to absorb all the expenses (train + stay)
I am thinking to negotiate to

2. home base salary and have my expenses paid for

I know that's depends on the amount I have to travel (and potentially stay) but at the moment this is unknown. Past 8 months was just twice a month + 2 nights stay.

The only thing I know is it won't be every week, the return trian ticket is about £80-100, depends I could plan ahead.
