37M- How to start a (mutual agreed) divorce process in California? Can I e-file? Do I need a lawyer?
(No kids, no joint assets, about 4.5 years into marriage)

Desi folks! Why do you let your parents manage your profile on the websites? It’s so uncomfortable when you get a call at 4 am saying “beta, we like your profile.” 🤷🏽‍♂️

My mom and dad are separating (bad terms) and not speaking, but my mom asks me about him everyday. She knows I don’t want to talk to him or about him, but continues to bring it up everyday.. I work in Florida where the Parental Rights law concerning gender theory and sexuality in k-3 is currently being labeled the "Don't Say Gay Bill". I find it crazy that so many of my liberal coworkers, even in the social studies department haven't even read the bill and are just buying the low wholesale. My SO adds very little to our relationship. She has a dead end job. I cook. I work. I oversee finances. I plan trips. She doesn’t have a voice in the relationship. I’ve asked her to give her perspective but she always defaults to mine bc she thinks I’m smarter/worldly. She feels intimated by me and my social circle. Lately, I’ve found myself thinking for her. I’m currently an associate (no kids) in a very busy corp group (think 50-60 billable weekly). My wife works significantly less (currently part time, 10-15, but hopefully will be full time soon). I find myself getting upset when asked to help with basic household things (trash, cooking etc.) when she’s been lounging around watching Netflix all day. Am I being reasonable or am I a misogynist? How do you deal with one person having significantly more free time than the other?

4th year at a mid size PI firm. Got pulled from litigating MVAs to help this solo we hired start a med Mal/nursing home practice. 1 year in and it looks like I’m two steps backwards in terms of getting paid because we’re a year or more out from a lot of the fees hitting. I respect the solo a lot, he’s a mentor, but I’ve got kids and I gotta get paid. Trying not to burn bridges, but I can’t wait years to get cut in. Advice?

For me, it's that you are in charge of your own career and no one cares about it like you do. Ask for what you want and make your own opportunities. Doing great work is a good first step, but it's not enough to really build the career you want.

“Summary dissolution”- divorce.
Does “property” means real-estate or bank account/stocks, etc as well.

Context- “property” less than $47k qualifies for dissolution, if not you have to go long-form process
