I recently came out of work, so far I’ve applied for 275 jobs and had 3 interviews, 3 interviews out of 275 applications, all replies seem to be “we have moved onto the next stages” “you don’t meet the minimum experience” it’s a hard world out there at the moment, and the government wonder why so many people are claiming benefits
We have to remain positive and keep patience, I’m sure something will come along for us both🙏🏻
Late last year I was hoping things would turn around after New Year's. That didn't happen, and I was thinking, okay, maybe in the spring. Now I'm not so sure. News reports have been saying all along that companies have been hesitant to hire. And now the price of gas may throw the economy into more chaos. I sure hope things turn around, but I'm not too optimistic.

Sorry to hear you're also dealing with this. It is tough right now, and current events are not helping!
There's a bunch of companies where you pay a subscription and they leverage AI to spam apply to job postings, so there's a ton of noise and junk for most postings that it's hard to even have anyone look at your application. The best way to find a job is through your network, which for some might mean you need to start networking first.
I've been applying for roles recently both through my network and just cold applications. Cold has 8% convert to interviews, network has 80%. It's a great reminder that connecting with people and building relationships can have an immense benefit.
