As an immigrant who has no family or close friends in the US, I truly envy my colleagues who are able to work remote and travel within the country and see their family and friends. How many points? Caribbean Marriott Cat 3 property, 5 nights. They have an issue with the boiler so no hot water and shower stops in between. Ice cold showers for 4 days in a row 🥶. Hotel phones don’t work because network is down and only local channels work on tv. Last night they had a huge leak in the lobby. They kept knocking stuff all night to fix it and then left a large floor fan running. I understand it’s tough reopening so don’t want to push, plus they upgraded our room at check in.

Currently a big 4 consultant and got an offer from FAANG for a strategy and ops role that would bring my total comp up 60%. I’m really grateful for the offer and really excited, however, I am also interviewing with MBB. It has always been a goal of mine to work for tier 1 strategy firm as I’ve always felt on the outside looking in at big4. I feel like most exit ops from strategy would be S&O industry roles but still can’t get these MBB firms out of my mind. Am I just overthinking this?
