I finally landed an interview with an actual recruiter and have been practicing my STAR responses. I just read that answers should be tie back to the leadership principles but there is just wayyyy to many to remember and my interview is tomorrow.

Hi All - I’m at a firm that has some infrequent in-house training but not enough to help me develop skills to eventually become a trial lawyer. I know cases rarely make it to trial anymore, but I’d like to develop my skills as much as possible to position myself well when they do. What does it mean if there’s a NEP at the firm who’s been there for a long time (20+ years), but never got promoted to EP? Never held leadership roles too. Does it usually mean EPs does not like the NEP enough to get promoted?

Lots of right wing hysteria about liberals trying to engineer equality of outcome to correct sexual/racial inequities (in higher ed, for example). Any insight on Marketing Manager salaries at Amazon?? I was quoted around 140 which I feel is rather low as I’ve interviewed for a senior role before (didn’t get it) and was quoted in the 200s.

Went through multi-day loop for L5 SA and felt confident in my interactions. Presentation went well with no lack of answers for follow up questions. Just found out 6 days later I will not be receiving an offer, and it is policy to not provide feedback of gaps or reasons behind no offer. Also found out they ask you not to reapply for 1 to 2 years for same role. Would anyone recommend an alternate path for feedback on interview (outside of recruiter) and is the 1-2 year policy true?

I have gotten a verbal offer from Facebook, but I just had my phone screen interview with the hiring manager at Amazon yesterday. I want to reach out to the recruiter at Amazon and let them know what the timeline looks like. I would much rather have the Amazon job over the Facebook one. But I’m afraid if I decline Facebook then Amazon won’t happen. I’m just completely lost.

Finished my loop for a marketing role 2 weeks ago, and got an email the next day that they wanted to give me an offer. Had my initial call with recruiter to put the offer together. It was lower than I expected, and we ended that call positively as I needed some time to consider, and we agreed to follow up in a few days.
