I got laid off from a large AV integrator recently because the division and I was in got cut and everyone in that group was let go without any regard to performance. I've been looking for 3 months and have 30+ years of industry experience with 15 years of design engineering experience. I am having a hard time getting past the AI bots that read my resume and send an automatic rejection before a human even looks at my application.

Any advice?

Are there any integrators hiring design engineers?

3 months is brutal, esp after 30+ years in the field. The bots are usually the worst part bc they dont care about performance, just matching words and format.

I'd tighten the resume for each posting and make sure the top third screams design engineer + AV integrator work in the exact language they use. If your resume has any tables, text boxes, weird headers, or a super dense layout, I’d strip that out first, those things get chewed up by ATS all the time. I ran a couple versions through ResumeJudge before and it caught a few dumb formatting issues I never wouldve noticed.

Also worth keeping 2 versions, one super clean ATS copy and one nicer human copy. I did that after getting ghosted on a bunch of roles and it helped a lot more than constantly rewriting from scratch.

What kind of systems are you seeing most of the rejections through, Workday, Taleo, Greenhouse, something else?

Hi there, If anyone knows of any leads for hiring Customer Success Managers in the tech industry, please feel free to reach out. I am wanting to transition from 5 years of technology retail sales experience. Within one years i was promoted from a Sales Consultant, to Assistant Manager, and one year later to Store Manager. I am customer first professional, always focusing on building the relationship with the customer.

Any help is appreciated!

I got a follow up call on an application for a "Remote" position. Talked to the recruiter and was told they planned a mandatory return to the office in the next year and the position was only "Remote" until then. Has anyone else see this?

Those of you with a degree in computer science (or similar), what do you do for work and how did you end up doing that?

Should I leave my first permanent job as a team leader of 4 DPs in a FMCG business (only been there for 4 months) to join a huge Tech business for a 12months contract?

They offer me 60% more money than my permanent role. Circa 2000 dollars every month in my pocket

However, I am worried if I accept the tech role and I do not become permanent I will be looking again for a job in 12-24 months and my CV won't be showing a managerial position. Won't be showing any progress.
