Firstly, if this is EY, NTP does not equal lay off. I had a counselee who had one bad year as a new manager, got NTP and stayed with the firm for a few years after. She exited only because she found a great opportunity.
That said, you may not be being expectations in the new practice. I'd focus on what you need to do to improve. Sometimes it's hard skills, other times it's working style.

I’m at M level and was only 4 months in. Given the EY environment I feel like I’ll be laid-off. So far no PPMD has been able to give me a reason because all my KPIs, BD and everything else was not missed
