I'm applying for accounting jobs, but keep getting rejected because I don't have any office or accounting experience. What entry-level roles will actually hire someone like me? Any advice for getting experience when no one will hire me because I lack experience?

been in industry (small companies) for 5 years with an active CPA. Wanted to get in SEC reporting roles but almost every company requires 2-year public accounting exp. Now applying for public accounting firms entry level positions but almost all firms HR asked if I had ever worked in firms. Got rejection emails from firms all the time. Is this a dead lock? firms exp matters much more than a CPA license?
