Hi all,
I’m looking to relocate to Seattle. Does anyone know if any of the Big 4 are still recruiting campus hires to start in Summer/Fall 2023? I’m open to either Audit or Tax, but I have internship experience in Tax.
I applied and received an offer at a Big 4 in San Francisco (campus hire), but I’ve decided Seattle is the better fit for me as it will be closer to my hometown and family in Vancouver.
Thanks!

Have you tried applying for paid internships to gain the experience. I certainly don't advise an unpaid one as you have bills to cover but maybe a paid internship will get you what you need.
It is a Tough Tough job market right now sadly. Try to apply internally for accounting jobs at your current employer. Even accounting in a retail environment is better than no experience at all. I am coming back into finishing my CPA after 10 years. 2012 was bad too. We are all in the same boat again I am afraid with no end in sight.
Depends where you live. This could just be a location thing as to why you aren’t getting calls back or your resume looks unprofessional
Does the school you went to have a career office? Most schools do that offer assistance with job placement. Usually they work with companies that support or have alumni that know the university and like to hire from there so that may give you an advantage.
Other than that do you have 150 credit hours and CPA eligible? If not it’s going to be tough because a lot of places are already reducing hiring to some degree but you are competing against a lot of people who have the 5th year masters degree in accounting.
