I'll be joining tw as UI Lead, soon.
I'm a javascript/react developer since inception of my career & haven't worked much on CICD/JENKINS and similar technology.
Should I be worried that as a lead I don't know these and will it affect by job security?
Ps- I'm good at UI,js, react etc.

Hi all,
Do firms match offers from other Big 4s for campus hires? I’ve received a campus offer from both KPMG and EY. I’m more interested in the EY offer, but they are paying 3k less than KPMG.
Would it be a bad move to let them know about the other offer and try negotiating? I feel it wont make a difference in the long run, but at the same time I don’t want to leave any money on the table if possible.
Thanks!

Hi all,
I’m looking to relocate to Seattle. Does anyone know if any of the Big 4 are still recruiting campus hires to start in Summer/Fall 2023? I’m open to either Audit or Tax, but I have internship experience in Tax.
I applied and received an offer at a Big 4 in San Francisco (campus hire), but I’ve decided Seattle is the better fit for me as it will be closer to my hometown and family in Vancouver.
Thanks!

Entry level in public accounting isn’t where you should enter. Look for an experienced senior role and network with people at that company.
Try some middle size cpa firm if you really want the public accounting experience. I have some friends who have many year private industry experience and still get in as a Senior, not the entry level.
Firms are looking for breathing humans.
You are non-traditional path. You are gonna have to approach it differently. You need to network with partners at firms to go to a firm. Or you could network with companies to get an SEC role.
These are both very viable paths for your background (SEC role of Sr at firm). You are just gonna have to work a little harder to land the job. Applying blindly without networking is not gonna be fruitful.
Ya. We've hired industry folk regularly. If you can project manage and learn quickly and just generally know GAAP, I can teach you GAAS pretty quickly.
shoot me a message! I work for a midsize firm and we hire people from industry fairly often

If interested in PWC, send me a DM. Your experience in industry likely would line you up to a senior associate role.
I went to a top university for my MAcc to pivot 10 years into my career, the university placed me into the B4. I suggest doing that if you can.
