I had a full-blown panic attack in the bathroom stall today because my manager yelled at me in front of the whole team for a typo. It wasn’t even a big typo, but he used it as an excuse to call me incompetent and useless during our stand-up meeting. I’ve never been treated so poorly in a professional setting in my entire life, and the worst part is that no one else said anything. The silence from my coworkers felt just as loud as the shouting from my boss. What’s the point of teamwork if no one has your back when things get abusive?

What is the responsibility of an OB hospitalist to advocate for or against sterilization (specifically tubal litigation) if any? I had a very controversial experience with an OB that made me wonder how much we should be trying to influence our patients' decisions "in their best interest." I have an offer to do some consulting for a company based out of the UK (I am in the US). The job would not go through a consulting company but would be directly with the company. I have not done any consulting before so I am not sure how it works, what I would need to set up (they mentioned that I would start a LLC and bill them directly, no idea how to do that), how to determine the tax implications of this, or what hourly rate I would expect. Can anyone offer advice?
