I had a miscarriage in February 2025 after 14 months of trying to conceive. Feeling hopeless & it’s impacting my work. I use to love my job and now I hate it (with other things adding to my reasoning). Struggling to enjoy my days lately. Any words of wisdom or inspiration would be much appreciated🩷

Sending support. Would it be helpful to hear stories of loss but then being able to conceive / have children after? That’s my story but I want to make sure that’s not triggering at all.

I had a miscarriage with my first back in 2020. Just a few months later, we tried again and I got pregnant. Now my son is 4.5. I also have a daughter who is 2. When I look up at the stars I like to think that my first is up there, twinkling with the rest of the stars, waiting for me. I’m hoping one day we will meet again in spirit.

I’m so sorry. I’ve dealt with this also and it’s very hard. I decided to take 3 weeks off and go on a dream vacation, biking in Europe. It really helped get my mind off things a bit and start enjoying life again. So try to take it easy on yourself and do something that brought you joy before. It will get easier with time. For what it’s worth, two years later I had a healthy baby. Just because it happened once doesn’t mean it will happen again.

That is completely understandable. It’s okay to grieve your miscarriage and feel hopeless during this time, but try to find a minute of joy each day. If a minute seems impossible, then start with ten seconds. Slowly work yourself up to a half hour and go from there. What brings you joy? When I’m grieving, I like to put on my favorite music and sing and dance around my house or in the car during a long drive. 🫶🏽

Time. It’s the only thing that will help. Just make it through each hour, little by little.

Hi ❤️ I’m so sorry for your loss. If it helps, anecdotally, it took me almost two years to get pregnant and then it ended in a loss. I remember my husband holding back tears and saying, “it feels like that was our one chance.” Well, I got pregnant the exact next cycle! That was 3 years ago. I’m holding my second child to sleep now.

Pregnancy loss is SO hard. Waiting and hoping every month for that positive line is so hard. Wodnering when it will be your turn is painful. Compound all of those things together and you are on quite a rollercoaster. Please be kind to yourself. You’re not measured by your productivity. Hang in there but it’s okay if not every day is a good day, especially with work. Do something you enjoy every day and take it a day at a time. That loss will always sting but it will get so much easier as time goes on.

Sending you hugs and crossing my fingers for you to get some good news soon. ❤️🙏🏻

I am sorry. I also had a miscarriage and it was a feeling unlike anything else. On top of your struggles with conceiving. It’s not talked about enough, but you are not alone in your experience.

I hope this gives you hope. But you were able to conceive which is a good sign. A friend had a 2-3 miscarriages before she had a healthy baby girl. While not ideal, don’t give up hope. 💛

I’m so sorry for your loss🩷 a loss is so hard, especially after trying for so long. Please give yourself grace. It is completely understandable what you are going through and that work doesn’t feel as enjoyable. Miscarriages are so hard because there isn’t necessarily one thing we could do to change it or work harder to fix and I think, especially for lawyers, that is so hard to wrap your mind around (or it was for me) that feeling of being out of control/not able to solve the issue. I had three miscarriages before my rainbow baby came so understand where you are coming from and am sending you all the positivity and baby dust 🩷
