I had my final interview with the General Manager at Medical Clinic. He said clinic manager will reach out to me in 1 week.
Is this good news?

Absolutely! I wouldn't say it's a guarantee that you'll get the job, but it's still a good sign. Best of luck to you!

I would think it would make you the top candidate…good luck!!!!

Hello, I sent two thank you letters to Clinic Manager and General Manager through email after they interviewed me recently. Is this effective?

like

I have to agree as a person that receives these, they are forwarded to the individual that hosted the interviews, I believe it gives a bit more (oomph), especially if you were one of the candidates that they are calling references for

I'd certainly think so! There's no way of knowing for sure, obviously, but I'd be cautiously optimistic if I was you. Fingers crossed you got the job!

like

I would take that as neutral news. Could mean it went well but it could also mean they are still looking. I would try not to get my hopes up until I had an offer in hand. Best of luck to you.

I sent follow letter to the manager and he replied right away that he is still in vacation and be back tomorrow and he will reply to me. Is this a good sign?

Finger cross.. I claim it, i get a job....

For me, it's that you are in charge of your own career and no one cares about it like you do. Ask for what you want and make your own opportunities. Doing great work is a good first step, but it's not enough to really build the career you want.

I am in the process of finding administrative assistant interns from our local universities. In an effort to make my job opportunity appealing, I am asking everyone in this bowl about an appropriate job title. Is "Administrative Assistant" outdated or unappealing? I certainly don't want to mislead anyone on the job responsibilities, but I do want to avoid any potential negative stereotypes attached to that job title. Are there alternative titles that you find more appropriate for 2022?

I just found out a new colleague was brought on at 20% higher salary than my current salary. (Have been w/ firm 1.5 years) She doesn’t have a 4-year degree (working on it). How do I bring this inequity up and ask to be compensated equally? I have years more experience and My work is more complex - she is basically a receptionist. Any suggestions would be helpful!

Hi- I’m an hourly AA, been on the role for 6 months now and it’s my first AA job. I did not get a raise when I took the job because it was technically a demotion ( I was a team leader at a contact center). I assist two VPs and now they want to add a third because they’re looking for the “ 3:1 ratio “. Should I ask for a raise? Is this normal? I know another AA that handles 3+ people but idk if she’s hourly or salary. Any thoughts?

Happy Wednesday everyone. I'm so excited, I have a recruiter call scheduled with @Meta for Administrative Partner position. I've been in my current employer role for 19 years and I'm nervous as heck. I haven't had to do an interview in so long. Can someone please tell me what to expect with the recruiter call? I'm assuming it will be mostly about the role, my skills and background? Do they ask salary expectations? I have no idea what to say for the salary question. Feedback appreciated. Thanks
