There are 16 leadership principle and I’m thinking of creating some stories around each but the thing that concerns me is what if the questions they ask are related to the same principle and I might have already used up my stories. Something like that. Can anyone please help? Amazon Amazon

A lot has changed in 1 1/2 years in the job market, especially in marketing. There are now millions of very talented people who've been laid off from the tech sector and other industries who have incredible resumes and can't find jobs. There's also the widespread use of AI now, which has infiltrated marketing. I worked in marketing for 20 years. I owned a small agency at one point with wonderful clients. But that's all gone now. The industry has changed and is not coming back the way it was. AI can now do almost everything required for a marketing campaign. Why would anyone pay a team of people when they can have just one, and AI do all the work? They won't, and they don't. There is no future in marketing the way it was. That's why you're getting zero responses. I have a friend who worked in marketing for FB and Google. She can't find a job anywhere. That's the level of talent you're competing with. I think it's time for you to reassess your career and come up with a Plan B. It's that or starve, unfortunately.
It can blow up if discovered and damage your reputation. Instead, try being upfront but concise in your resume and cover letter: mention “professional caregiving leave” or “family care sabbatical” with dates
Write the experiences called life into cover letters.
Plenty of soft skills other than the marketing skills that employers SHOULD want.

We’re in a gap business, whether it’s a layoff or personal matter, gaps are seen as a norm.
I agree - it’s an awful market now & also end of year. I’m hearing that a lot of people are applying and not hearing responses either.
The job market is horrendous right now. I guess one potential workaround would be to list your roles by the year instead of the month and year, and see if that helps you gain any traction.
I’ve taken 2.5 years for caregiving. 100s applications, 12 first stage interviews, 4 second stage interviews, 2 third stage.
I got 3 job offers but:
1. Was minimum wage, 3hrs a day, cold calling. Local Didn’t work and I had to quit
2. I was offered a job on the spot. I soon realise that the company wasn’t up to standard when they tried to reduce my pay by an extra pound per hour in the contract and reduced my holidays and had also extended my working hours thinking I wasn’t going to look at my contract.
3. finally got a job offer after spending probably around 15 hours interviewing for a company because they also then asked for me to do a 15 to 20 page presentation. It’s one with good pay company I’ve wanted to work for for awhile but I’ve recently found out that they’re doing layoff and all the benefits that they sold to me during the interview they’ve actually got rid of now. My contact there said it might also change the days in the office from one day a week to 5 days by the start of next year. Which I can’t do so I’ll be back in your position.
