I hate it when people say “This is helpful” because (1) it’s not constructive feedback and it doesn’t tell me which part of my analysis was on point or transferable to future tasks; and (2) it simply sounds very condescending and patronizing. Does anyone agree?

"this is helpful" is nondescript positive feedback; dont look gift horse in the mouth

likehelpfulsmart

The fact that someone is going through and marking every comment on this post as “helpful” is frying me

Just chill out a bit.

When I say this is helpful, I mean it as a compliment. It is more than just a thank you for the effort. If you want feedback, expressly ask for feedback.

🤘🧡🤘🧡

I take it as a compliment.

I mean it basically says the work product did its job. It's not necessarily constructive feedback, but it does provide a lot of information

Yeah gunner associates can’t accept the fact that real life work is pass/fail. A+s are not usually given out in real life.

I mean, comment number 1 still wins. But: Did you just accidentally got it right and are not capable of picking out what part of your analysis made it in the final work product or did you not see the final version?

Unless you are very junior we expect you to do that analysis yourself. We all do it too.

Hi Everyone !!!

This June I completed my 9 months at Career Level 12 and Sub Level 3 I.e, CL 12.3 at
Accenture Operations. My Annual Talent Discussion and One-on-One with People Lead is complete as of last week.

I have 3 questions now :
1. When can I expect to move to 12.2 ?
2. What is the general hike I can expect ? And when it is reflected ?
3. When will be the variable pay will be paid out ?

Can anyone here help me with this performance cycle part ? I am really confused.

Hello there. I have been interviewing with Okta and got through all 5 rounds of interviews. They say they want to offer me the job but there is a global freeze for all marketing roles at the company. They want to offer me a contractor role instead. Does anyone here know if that is the case? I haven't heard anything as they seem be on wellness week. Thanks for any guidance :)

Previously lived in a luxury building in JC but now every decent apartment there is over 5.5k which to me in insane. Having said that, I don’t want to comprise on quality and size of apartment. Can’t believe that even with a household income of over 450k NYC area seems unaffordable.

First year associate and I may barely hit 1500 this year. Requirement is 2000, though i know first and some second years at my firm don’t hit it.

I am a in a small specialist group who has 2 partners, and they both give me work. One of them said to not worry about my hours (though they do not know how low of a number i’m projected for). Haven’t asked the other.

Am I the only one whose time entries get worse the busier and more chaotic a specific case is? Like for example preparation for a dispositive hearing with a lot of factual and legal issues that’s treated like a fire drill. My time entries are chaotic and rereading at the end of the month I feel like the time was totally justified but also like wow it sounds like we were jumping all over the place and we were, lol time entries were not your typical sequential one step at a time thing.
