I scenario plan, and instead of a specific date, I do give a date range. I like to give my team a little extra space.
Then if they come back with some additional changes, which it sounds like your client does, you may be able to bake some of those into that adjusted time frame.
This will help the client feel heard, and as though you're not nickel and diming them for all changes.
Yes to this and I think it depends on what PM system you are using to manage timelines. Something like Smartsheets makes it super easy to scenario plan very quickly to more exact dates, while still providing a range to the client, but if you have a more manual process that could take more time to turn around. But a range doesn't lock the team into something that may not be clearly defined yet.
