Anyone who is an SDET? How much coding do you do?

Depends. If you’re talking about FAANG and other product based companies then you are expected to be as good as developer. If it’s some other service companies like big 4 then very little.

like

Anyone with an "engineer" title pretty much writes code at FANG. There's only so much manual stuff you can do. The only difference is what you're code does. If your code provides functionality for users, you're an SWE, if you're code tests products then you're in SDET, if your code eases operations, you're an SRE

like

Yes you will be expected to code just as well as a developer. While you're not writing "app code" so to speak, you will be writing a lot of test code and have to have dev experience to make and maintain test frameworks. This will also include some dev ops experience for getting your tests setup to run in cloud pipelines as well

What does it mean if there’s a NEP at the firm who’s been there for a long time (20+ years), but never got promoted to EP? Never held leadership roles too. Does it usually mean EPs does not like the NEP enough to get promoted?

So, a recruiter gave me feedback that my lack SPHR or SHRM-SCP is causing my resume to be knock out by AI and human recruiters despite my position and work history in Multinationals and being in Technology. They suggested that we put SPHR ( Lapsed). I let it lapse in 2017. What is your opinion? Plus if I were to take another certification - should I take SPHR or SHRM-SCP?

Background - I recently got the Certified System Administrator for SNow, PMP and CSM
