I had a third round interview with a Fortune 100 company. I’ve been working with the main recruiter and schedulers to coordinate interviews, including one with the hiring manager. I was never given the hiring manager’s email, but based on other emails, I can easily put it together.

My referral says I should just email her to follow up to show resourcefulness, but my gut says that’s a bit creepy as and feels a bit desperate. I’m still in the time window for when they would follow up. Any advice?

I’m really wanting to just quit my summer internship. I got placed in a location in the north east which I didn’t want to be in the first place. The people are rude here and I’m losing money because my salary is so low. I’ve already accepted a full time job offer with a different company so it’s like I don’t even need this internship at all. I know it’s heavily discouraged to leave in the middle of the summer, but are there any options that I could potentially take?

I’m almost always the only woman, woman of color, young woman in any meeting because I’m a technical product manager. I own a major product and I’m great at my job. But it always sucks when there are a bunch of white men, they find it awkward to pronounce my name. So they end up talking amongst themselves about my product and I have to interject.
