Additional Posts in Salary Negotiations
Im not searching for a new job but an acquaintance reached out about a similar role at a similar energy company.Turns out 2 ppl threw my name in the hat. I looked into it and the position was posted 2 weeks ago.Their director wants to meet.I bet pay is one of the first things to be discussed so that no one’s time is wasted.Am I crazy for not wanting to entertain it for less than 20-25% base pay increase? Is it selfish to ask for more? I’m sure most salary conversations end in negotiation anyways?
Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

That's not unread of, a lawyer won't be able to do anything about that. Bankruptcy shows a lack of discipline or planning to some people

Bankruptcy happens because of one's character and habits which directly correlate with what can be expected at work. An employer is right to make a judgment based on this and there's a very good reason it stays on one's record for 7 years for a very good reason.
What exactly do you think a lawyer can do? The suggested lack of accountability is a major problem in society today.
Does the ñosistion he applied for and receive the offer require an insurance bond?
I have heard certain jobs in finance can be an issue. I did consider bankruptcy for a while and tried to get all the pros and cons before doing it.
It’s not a protected base for a discrimination claim if that is what you are suggesting.
An employer can choose to not hire if an applicant does not disclose information that is then caught with a background check.
I can empathize with your colleague though.
That’s insane and should be illegal
