I have a couple of funny members in my team like this. I'll see them quickly switch tabs and type in the most random thing into their search bar. They always deliver good work but I don't see them being productive at work.. so I'm pretty sure they're taking home work when they can just be done with it in the office if they focussed more. Would you intervene and encourage them to be better at work or just let it be and let them work the way they want to? I just can't stand watching time be wasted

🤔

If they deliver good work, they are being productive and time isn’t wasted.

Creativity don’t happen in neatly-packaged shifts. What if you get an idea at night while in the shower, after letting the brief percolate in your head all day while “wasting time”? How do you even quantify the time spent on that idea?

Also, some of the best creatives have ADHD.

Focusing at the office is hard.
Really really hard.

They always deliver good work and they don’t seem productive? Not following.

Let them live. You said they don't ever let their lack of productivity come in the way of their output.. then why bother moral policing?

Yeah, don’t. You’re a CD, not a shift manager at Chilis. Nothing is worse than a type A boss nitpicking your work style just because.

Please God, don’t let me marry someone like OP 🙏 #thoughtsandprayers

I wouldn't. The only thing you should be judging them on is output. If it's consistently high quality, who cares when or how it gets done? "If it ain't broke..."

Honestly if they are delivering good work I would just let them work the way they need to. I am one of those people that struggles to get work done in the office too and sometimes take it home but it always gets done. Some people just work differently.

Hi everyone, I'm new to Canada and want to start my career here in the Financial and Banking industry. I have passed the CFA level 2 exam and was wondering if I have to complete the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) as most of the job postings here mention about it. I saw that if someone passes at least the CFA level 1 exam then the requirement of CSC is exempted. Can anyone enlighten me about this? As the CSC exam costs above 1000 CAD, I wanted to be sure if I need it before investing behind it.

What are your excuses to leave your current job early for an interview at another agency?

I went through a pretty rigorous interview process for a marketing project manager but ultimately wasn't given job. Though most of the feedback was positive, the other candidate had more direct experience with the job responsibilities (digital assets, social media, etc.) My job/company dabbles in digital but it's primarily traditional media. How do I again the experience if I'm limited by the type of work we do?
