Anyone have a smart scale they like? I just got this Withings scale and it is all over the place with the body fat measurements. A good 8 points higher than the inbody at my gym. And also just swings like 3-4 points on its own. I’m fine if it’s off, but I want it to be consistent with itself so I can check my progress.

We have sales people in Canada and the US, the Canadians make 150K CAD and down here it’s 150K USD, the Canadians argue they should be making 30% more than the US colleagues to be equal bc of the exchange! I explain the salary is dependent on the market data for them in Canada, WHERE THEY LIVE, and you can’t compare it to the US employees and the market data down here. Overall they are both in the 75th% for total comp. for their industry. Am I wrong?

Have you ever taken a career slow down? I am feeling burnt out from COVID and the incremental responsibilities thrown my way over the last 5+ years. I feel like my health has deteriorated. I like my company, but I want to do less. I don’t need to be a HR Director, CHRO, etc. With a career slowdown, I am prepared for a lower compensation and would want decent benefits. Looking at either renewing my lease downtown or moving to Deep Ellum. I’m wondering if I can negotiate Deep Ellum rent down by citing that my downtown apartment (similar amenities, sq ft, etc) is $400 cheaper. There’s only one building in particular I’m considering in Deep Ellum, I just can’t stomach paying almost $2k/mo for a regular one bedroom.
