Through experience, I have learned that when we try to escape a situation in search of a better one, the problem is more deeply rooted than we think it is. For some, an equally boring job with better might be more tolerable. For others, it won’t. If I were in your place, I'd ask myself if you can not make the life you desire for yourself here itself and why. If you wanna move countries, I urge you to think deeply about why you wanna go and how you will position yourself for it. Its not as simple as earning more and sending cash. There are tax implications, cost moving, living in Dubai etc. Boredom can be tackled in many ways.
I know someone who went to Dubai and is miserable OP. There is zero concept of work life balance and working 6 days in the norm.
There is also a lot less to do than just go out and shop.
You are well compensated here I would focus on investing in hobbies and relationships
Catch a threatre show, concert, stand up comedy etc. Visit the many museums. Explore the nearby cities and areas through day or weekend trips. There are lots of places for hikes. Go for a paint night or pottery painting. Take dancing lessons etc. Join a local sports group/team. These are just some ideas. There is so much to do.
Head south my friend. US offers 2-3x the pay and lower COL.

You need to work less and find yourself some hobbies that bring you joy. There is no shortage of things to do in Toronto. You are in one of the biggest cities in North America, the options for entertainment and fulfillment are limitless.
If that’s something you struggle with then maybe it’s time for therapy to understand if there are some underlying factors.

Have you considered moving to another job in Toronto? How much are you making now?
OP - 190k and assuming your partner helps pay for mortgage should be a decent cash flow..do you have kids as well? With your mtg did you lock into a life you didn’t really want and hard to sustain? Maybe you can live outside of the city for cheaper or a smaller place, cut back on expenses, go for a remote job. I’m not entirely convinced that more money is the solution.
