If it was stipulated in the contract, maybe try talking to the landlord and paying them in a cashier's check. It is always better to speak to them in a friendly manner.

I would try to get them that money in a cashier's check as soon as possible. It seems that they're standing on there rules.

What does it say in the leasing contract? You need to make sure to read the lease. Could you just pay them in a cashier's check?
I paid in cashier’s check what was owed. They didn’t accept it and still took us to eviction
Do you still have a copy of your contract? If yes, keep it and show it to your lawyer if you already have one.
