I got a letter from my apartment regarding unlawful detainer.

The apartment refused to take our rent for almost 4 months because it was paid in a personal check and not cashier’s check.

I have 5 days to respond, what should I do please?

How useful is having worked with the PE practice (deal strategy, CDDs, etc.) of a consulting firm vs any other one when trying to break into PE? I understand it's probably better to come from such units but I wanted to understand in which ways it helps. Is it actually irreplaceable skills vs understanding of sector dynamics vs pure prestige?

I am not sure if I could live from project to project. As it makes my over thinking worse and statlrt to feel anxious. But I am not sure too if I could live doing same things over and over.

My company’s SOP template has a table of contents and a section at the top where the SOP owner is supposed to add a short statement containing the “Why” of the SOP, meaning a statement about what the SOP is supposed to solve for/ accomplish. A co-worker recently told me that it should also contain a checklist of the 4-5 main points of what the team member should know how to do after reading the SOP…. This seems really redundant to me. Thoughts?

I joined MS Bangalore office last month. In my offer letter it is mentioned that I'll get 2.5 lakh (gross up) one time relocation allowance. Can anyone tell me, when can i expect that money to be credited in my bank account ? I have already received my 1st month salary along with all other allowances.

I am meeting my mom for the first time after 3 years post pandemic and going to pick her up from SFO airport. Her flight lands around 6 am PST. What would you do if you got a full ride to an MBA Program, but you’re still waiting on your H1B application decision from the USCIS?

Do I need a new H1B Stamping? I extended my visa last year (new expiration date: 2024 Summer) and got my visa stamped accordingly. Since then, I changed firms and transferred my visa, which now has a different expiration date (i.e 2024 Winter). I honestly don’t know why the date got longer with just a transfer. Anyway, would I need to get my visa stamped again since the date of current i797-A (winter 2024) is different from my previous i797-A/latest visa stamp?

M&A/PE associate (trying to juggle multiple deals) feeling like I don’t have time to dive deeper into issues and it being highlighted in some of my work product as I am having to turn things right away and just pushing things out - so issues I may have caught if I had a better/deeper/higher level understanding are more apparent when partners review.
