I had interviewed for an internship position at EY for technology consultant program for summer 2022 and got a call where they extended an offer. I wanted to know if I can defer the internship offer to fall 2022 or a later start date after summer.
I apologize as I cannot reply to a comment or DM on this platform to anyone, but thanks for your answers in advance.

I've been looking at apartments out there and realized that California law doesn't consider a place uninhabitable without a fridge so they seem to either not provide one or insist on the tenant cover repairs. I'm guessing washer/dryer is the same. Really odd for someone like us coming from a state that requires the landlord to cover those things.
Yup. Moved here from NY.
Wow really to all these other replies? Been in 8 places and the only thing the landlord is responsible for is the oven and some leases they aren’t even responsible for maintenance. Very common that the fridge etc are your problem and yours alone and often you have to provide to yourself
Not an LA thing. Owner should take care of it but check the lease contract.
Definitely not an LA thing!
Yeah always a culture shock coming to LA and discovering you have to provide your own appliances. Some landlords provide one, usually it’s when a precious tenant moved out and left it behind. None will repair it if it breaks though.
Have lived in 4 different houses here, definitely not a la thing. Push back on the contract
Ignore those above. It’s a thing. Not necessarily like that but it’s a bizarre bizarre thing. Lots of places don’t have any appliances. You can pay 4K for a place with no dishwasher no fridge and washer hookups. Or if there is one, good luck on that. Also, everything is brown.
