Share the skills you have acquired and how successful you’ve been in that time. Metrics can be a great way to show that. I run into this a lot too, being just short of the experience, I try to show how I check every box they are asking for skill-wise.
Apply and be clear on what you do bring. If you're just a little less than what they want, make it clear why you're a good fit. The worst they can do is ignore you.
I’ve seen plenty of people get hired with less than the “required” years. If you’re excited about the role and can back it up with skills, it’s worth going for.
