Hi all. I am trying to determine if I am being compensated fairly. I am a tax manager (about to start my second year as manager) and have been with EY since staff 1. I was promoted to manager in June 2020 (during covid) and received a 7.5% raise. The class above me has mentioned they received much higher raises during their promotion years. My base salary is now approx. 97K. Any insights would be extremely helpful. Thanks!

Doesn't it have to do with something about demographic and equal hiring practices or something like that? I usually answer it but I'm not sure if I'm doing myself a disservice by doing so.
I never answer it and i came across an application last night that required it. I chose prefer not to answer. I'll surprise them during the interview lol
I don't think the company even sees your answers. It's for government purposes, and employers don't see your responses. So feel free to leave it blank if you want, but don't be so stressed about it reflecting on your job application
ok thanks!
I always answer it. If whatever my answer is leaves to be rejected and decline, great! I dont want to work in that environment anyway.
When we "had" to fulfill DEI initiatives we had to interview at least one Black or Hispanic person for the role. Sometimes we had to interview female candidates for the role.
If the person who interviewed didn't identify as XYZ we would need to keep interviewing until we met the posting criteria.
Then there are roles where the manager wanted to switch up the team by adding a female into a male dominated field for a different perspective on the team.
The newer applications even ask your sexuality now and offers TEN different choices 😂
