What is the salary for a ‘H4’ band?
I have some doubt regarding pf contribution... Say for example.. 12% of my base salary is 600 which gets deducted from my salary.. on the flip side.. the company has to contribute 600 to my pf (which is actually deducted from my salary only like already part of CTC)?. So my question again is that.. the company contributes 600 as well? PwC
What will be in hand salary.???

I’m in a HCOL city. I was just promoted to manager in May 2021. I’m making 99k and I expect another raise in October. Hope this helps.
Cool, what about you @ey1?
It's really dependent on your market and service line. You are probably both in the band, but lower/median of it.
You could get a raise on the open market. I'd expect anywhere from 110-130k base to jump minimum, depending on target market and service line. Smaller firms might give you a premium up to 130ish. NYC/SF +25-30% of those figures.
Definitely agree with getting a raise on the open market. I got an offer last week as an M2 with a mid-tier firm in a HCOL area at $125K base plus bonus, and I was told annual raises would be anywhere from 8-10%.
Firms will pay a premium to bring in outside hires, but when they promote from within they usually exercise much more control over how much you make.
I’m a tax manager 1 and was promoted in October 2020 and I’m making 96k (US East not NYC)!
What city are you in US east?
Don't jump to a smaller firm, unless this is what you want to do. Its been killing my exit ops, I wish I stayed at a the Big4 I left from, instead of going to a top 10.
I’m an M3 in MCOL in Central region, making $105k.
They weren’t promoted during a global pandemic so not really apples to apples 🤷🏼♂️
Totally understand that. Of course life isn’t fair, but that’s not my point. My point is that the firm portrays compensation as a balancing act and takes a lot of factors into consideration. I’m simply wondering if being promoted during the pandemic (and therefore getting a lesser raise % than those who were promoted during a normal year) will be one of those factors
Everybody needs to remember that for the firm the L in HCOL is for labor, not living. So while Seattle is high cost of living and the hottest market for housing, it’s considered middle for cost of labor. Lots of skilled folks in the workforce here. So the firms don’t have to pay a premium.
As such, the we can’t really answer this without knowing the city.
I am entering my three year at Deloitte and started as a staff. My salary is 117,800. Based on that you may be on low range
To who? “Entering my third year (or three year) at Deloitte and started as Staff” implies you started your career as a staff three years ago at Deloitte, and are now making $117,800 as a Senior.
Seems low to me for sure
