Hey eveyone, what are things I can do to increase my odds of getting hired Google (Internship)?
2 weeks back I applied for the Business Internship for 2022.
Meanwhile I was trying to connect with team mates who are working in the specific location I applied through LinkedIn. I emailed a guy asked can I ask him some questions, he said yes he is happy to. But after I sent the questions no reply, it's been almost a week.
My Resume and LinkedIn is massively improved, thinking what else can I do?

I recently applied to the Content Designer, 2023 Graduate remote role at Atlassian and I'd appreciate it if I could get a referral.
Here are some details to aid in your decision-making:
- Last summer, I worked at Google as a UX Content Design Intern.
- I am currently in a grad program at
NYU and will graduate in Spring 2023.
- Before graduate school, I spent 3+ years as a Copywriter in Advertising.
I'd really appreciate any recommendation I can get at this time.

Most top firms have delayed hire start dates for a year or more. You’re not going to have much luck with that approach.
If you’re not chomping at the bit to make some cold hard cash, I highly recommend you take gap year and try something new. E.g. one of my friends in the same situation is working as a sailing instructor in the Caribbean while working on his Spanish. It just takes a bit of creativity

Yeah, OW 1 is right on the money. One thing I’d add is if you really wanted to rack up some experience and stay on the career track, you could always just switch industry for a year and chase healthcare, tech, or banking.
Banking is having similar layoffs / hiring freezes, and some would argue tech is too, but considering you’re going to have clients in both of these sectors as a consultant (and will probably exit for one of them too), you might as well as get to know their internal ops a little more while you’re on hold.
Good luck!
The industry (consulting) as a whole is having probably one of the worst years in the past 2-3 decades (yes, including the 08/09 recession). It’s likely an anomaly so if you’re truly interested in consulting I’d wait it out
