Alvarez & Marsal I received a verbal offer from Alvarez & Marsal and I asked for just 3 lacs more than what was offered to me. They said they will come back in 2-3 days and discuss. It's been almost a month now. They have started ghosting me. No response to email, call, message. What should I do?

$530k HHI, $250k cash on hand, $1.2M investments/retirement. Plan to buy $800-900k house as our first home, but thinking of the best approach given rates today. My thinking is that we (i) put $200k+ down and get a 5/1 ARM. (ii) put everything we save moving forward toward paying down the principal (after maximizing retirement accounts). Should be able to do $100k per year. (iii) If rates go down below 4.5ish % for 15 year fixed, refinance and stop aggressive payment. Thoughts on this approach?

I have 1 job offer that is an hour away and pays 45k, after negotiations (Research Associate Position at a University) .
