Hi everyone. How do taxes and health benefits work in remote jobs if the employer is in a different state than the one you live in? I did some digging in google, found a mix of answered and wanted to hear from others with this experience.

My direct report expensed Cal Bar late fees assessed for reporting MCLE credits late and for paying the bar fee late. It’s around $190 extra. Cons: Its a startup, the solution they offer is adjacent to my desired industry, its a very small team so I wouldn’t grow my network as much, tech stipend for new laptop (but they don’t provide a work one)
