Thought this was interesting. Across 160 teams of researchers, just about all failed to make good life outcome predictions on things like GPA, evictions, layoffs, and others. Data followed 4.5k families across 15 years, with 13k features (varied over time). Haven't looked at it directly yet, but will be turning the docs and data inside out... In the meantime, authors claim this as showing the limits of ML. Oh, and it's published in PNAS, so you know there's some big publication energy there.

My handwriting was never great, but lately it's just bad. Like atrociously bad. I think it's just because I don't do a lot of writing longhand and haven't in years. Now when I take notes or jot down something simple like a grocery list I realize how my handwriting skills have more or less atrophied. I'm guessing that might be a common modern condition.
I don’t think mine has changed, but I do still like to write wiring down notes at work. Really love doodling still too (I’m going on 38).
That's such a great question... I used to have a great handwritten note that everyone would talk a great deal about. Now, I almost don't write anything, and if I do, I don't care as much, so it looks like a doctor's note literally. LOL
My mom was always big into calligraphy, which I always found fascinating as a little girl. She would freehand place cards for events that looked typed. Naturally, I wanted to join, so we'd paint and write together, and my handwriting became great because of it. It's sad to think it's sort of a lost artform now.
